The Festival of Golf

The 2nd Festival of Golf has come and gone and we hope all members enjoyed the festivities. An event like this is a team effort and I would like to thank all staff and members who put it together and make it a memorable week for all, there efforts have been appreciated.

With this event it is also no possible without sponsors and we thank-you them all for their contribution and support of Erinvale and the festival.

Canada Cup - 27 March 2016
This Sunday is the Annual Canada Cup which is hosted by the Duguid’s, and this year as per ever year will be a great day, so if you haven’t booked don’t delay.

Green keepers Revenge - 31 March 2016
The fun continues as next week we have the Annual Green Keepers Revenge next Thursday, and I am sure Greg will have a few tricks up his sleeve to make the day eventful.

Masters
Our next Major is the Masters which is to be played on the 9th April and this year we have added a Par 3 contest that will be played to the exact distance as the Augusta National Par 3 course which they play on the Wednesday before the Masters. We will be hosting it on Friday the 8th April in the afternoon before our Masters. So don’t miss out on this event and we the first to put your name on the trophy.

The Festival of Golf week is upon us
It is unbelievable how time has flown from last year’s celebration to this years.

In would like to thank each and every sponsor for their support for this year’s Festival and I urge all members to support them as best as possible.

This year in the festival we have a few new additions with entertainment on every night in addition to wine, beer, brandy and Gin Tastings so please don’t miss out. Even if you not playing golf all are welcome to join us for the evening festivities.

In addition on Saturday Crawford Dougall whom is the insurance brokers for Erinvale Golf Club will be putting up R100, 000.00 for the first Hole in One on the 2nd hole. Of the R100, 000.00, 50% will go the player and the other 50% will go to Charity. So practice your approach shots as we would love to give out this prize.

So don’t miss out, if you haven’t booked yet don’t hesitate as it will be a memorable week.

Who's been winning the trophies at the club? Take a look

DIRECTOR'S REPORT

The trophies continue to be handed out. Last weekend was the President’s Trophy on Saturday and congratulations to the winners.

On Sunday was the Inaugural Mixed Championships, and with a field of 100 players it was a successful start to an event that will feature on an annual basis.
